Jeff has emerged not only as a leader in SGAC but also in the Treasury of Student Union as well. Thank you, Jeff, for all your hard work and dedication to SU.

The mission of Student Union is to create a vibrant campus community by: advocating for the needs and interests of undergraduate students, developing and implementing both innovative and traditional programs, and allocating the student activity fee to unique and engaging activities, programs, and initiatives.

City Council Representatives
Appointed by the Executive Council and confirmed by the Senate, the City Council reps are nonvoting representatives to their respective City Council (University City Council, Clayton City Council, and Skinker-DeBolviere Community Council). They must be residents of the community that they represent and are responsible for holding a forum once per semester to solicit student input.

Outreach, Recruitment, & Retention (ORR)
The Outreach, Recruitment, and Retention Committee (ORR) has three primary functions:
  • Planning retention activities that encourage continued participation and increased effort from current members in all Student Union branches.
  • Seeking out innovative, new leaders from the student body, through publicizing Student Union events, as well as being an accessible body for questions, concerns, or ideas.
  • Reaching out to undergraduate students in order to understand their University-related concerns and assist the organization in addressing them.
ORR works with the Secretary and the Public Relations Committee to coordinate unique marketing campaigns that inform the University community about Student Union efforts.

Public Relations Committee
Chaired by the Student Union Public Relations Director, the Public Relations Committee is responsible for increasing and maintaining the Washington University community's awareness of Student Union activities and initiatives. The committee works with Outreach, Recruitment and Retention (ORR).
