Rep. of the Moment

Jeffrey Griffin
For his extensive support of the Student Group Activities Committee in helping organize the logistics of President's Orientation, volunteering to be the SGAC manager of the Umrath student group center, and being an effective and central member of the committee. Jeff has emerged not only as a leader in SGAC but also in the Treasury of Student Union as well. Thank you, Jeff, for all your hard work and dedication to SU.

The mission of Student Union is to create a vibrant campus community by: advocating for the needs and interests of undergraduate students, developing and implementing both innovative and traditional programs, and allocating the student activity fee to unique and engaging activities, programs, and initiatives.

It is the vision of Student Union to responsibly serve and empower every undergraduate student to be a force for change and improvement while fostering and preserving tradition at Washington University in St. Louis.

Univ. Committees

University Committees exist as yet more avenues for student voices to be heard on campus. Participation in each committee is a year long commitment, though a few committees meet infrequently or on an as needed basis. Students are nominated by the Student Union President through an application process and appointed by the Chancellor.

If you have any questions feel free to contact the Student Union President (president@su.wustl.edu).

The Washington Univ. Gallery of Art Collections and Programs
Purpose: The Art Collections and Program Committee is an advisory committee appointed to support the activities of the Washington University Gallery of Art. The committee advises the director and curator of the gallery on two matters: one, the acquisition and deaccession of art works by the Gallery of Art on behalf of Washington University; and two, exhibition programming and other public events related to exhibitions. The Chancellor appoints the committee to represent the general interests of the university at large and those parts of the University involved in the visual arts. The Chancellor also appoints the chair of the committee, who convenes the committee when appropriate. The committee should meet at least once a year.

Danforth to commemorate the Holocaust and to address its broader implications for other instances of systematic persecution and mass murder. The lecture is part of the Assembly Series on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m., a time when few classes are scheduled so maximum attendance by students and faculty is possible.

Library Council
