The mission of Student Union is to create a vibrant campus community by: advocating for the needs and interests of undergraduate students, developing and implementing both innovative and traditional programs, and allocating the student activity fee to unique and engaging activities, programs, and initiatives.

It is the vision of Student Union to responsibly serve and empower every undergraduate student to be a force for change and improvement while fostering and preserving tradition at Washington University in St. Louis.

The following is a listing of all the benefits and resources that are available to student groups when they are approved as an official student group. Please use this listing to determine what category you would like to apply as. If you have any questions, please contact Student Group Activities Committee (sgac@su.wustl.edu).

Category I

Allowed to submit a formalized budget semesterly and appeal for additional funds through the semester in the form of appeals.
Apply for speaker requests.
Can receive the following resources:

Basic office supplies.
Copy Code (2000 copies a year).
Mailbox in the OSA office.
Meeting space.
Office space.
Telephone line.
Web space and e-mail account.

Utilize posting privileges in compliance with the University's posting policy.

Category II

Allow to submit a formalized budget (max of $500) semesterly to the Budget Committee.
Apply for speaker requests.
Can receive the following resources:

Basic office supplies.
Copy Code (2000 copies a year).
Mailbox in the OSA office.
Meeting space.
Office space.
Telephone line.
Web space and e-mail account.

Utilize posting privileges in compliance with the University's posting policy.

Category III

Is a permanent status
Not eligible for any funding. Still entitled to all benefits of being a Student Union recognized group.
